Canon recently released the new 3Ti DSLR camera. Now with both the 2Ti and 3Ti available consumers have the choice. What are the main differences? Which one will suit you better? Is it really worth getting the 3Ti over the 2Ti? Lets compare Canon T2i vs T3i.

Possibly one of the biggest differences between the two cameras is the T3i is larger and heavier than the T2i. This is due to the tilt swivel screen on the T3i. Some find it a little too heavy, though the balance is still good and it is still easy to grip.

Probably the next main difference is the T3i can control flash guns and speedlites remotely. The T2i can not do this. The Canon EOS T3i can control multiple off camera flash units and it uses the built in flash as the trigger.

With the release of the T3i Canon have released a reworked version of their optically stabiliszd 18-55mm lens kit. The kit on the T3i has minor cosmetic differences to that on the T2i.

The photo quality of the image is the same in the T3i vs T2i. They both have exactly the same megapixel rating and the same image processor.

Below are some of the features charted so you can easily see the differences between the two cameras.

Both of these cameras are great and either one will give you years of excellent quality photographs. If I had to pick one I would go with the T3i. Purely for the tilt screen. I can see it having quite a few advantages.

I hope this information above has helped you decide between the Canon T2i vs T3i

Here is a great video reviewing the T3i. it covers the main differences that set it apart from the T2i. The flip out tilt swivel screen is covered. Another thing that is covered is the zoom function in video to give it extra zoom capacity. The quality still remains pretty good considering what the camera is doing.
